Add Custom Themes to the Distraction Free Writing Mode in WordPress
The fullscreen distraction free writing mode is one of the coolest new features recently added to WordPress. But what if that blank white screen just doesn’t do it for you? Distraction Free Writing Mode Themes is a new plugin that gives you more design options when enabling this mode.
This plugin revives some old favorites, such as Monokai, Q10 and Matrix themes and comes with 6 built-in theme options. It also makes it possible to add your own Custom CSS. A skeleton theme is included to make it easy for you to simply change the color values. All available options can be found at Settings >> DFWM Themes.
Future version of the plugin will allow for theming the top bar. More themes will also be added and contributions are welcome. If you enjoy the plugin and create a nice theme that you’d like to share with the community, get in touch with the plugin’s author via the support forum.
If you want to give yourself a little more inspiration in fullscreen mode, download the Distraction Free Writing Mode Themes plugin from the WordPress repository.
